Karina (she/her/hers) obtained her Master of Social Work degree from FIFSW, University of Toronto, with a specialization in Social Justice and Diversity. She graduated from George Brown College, Assaulted Women’s and Children’s Counsellor/Advocate program, and she has been supporting clients since entering the social work field in 2018. Karina is registered with OCSWSSW.

She is passionate about providing counselling services to Survivors of trauma, rooting her practice in evidence-based approaches of Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, as well as Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. She obtained her ASIST training and she provides counselling services from a harm-reduction, anti-racist and anti-oppressive perspective. Her services are culturally-informed and she views clients as experts of their experiences.

Tanveer holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and is a PhD candidate at the University of Delhi, India. With over five years of professional experience at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), she has extensive experience in providing psychotherapy, conducting psychological assessments, and contributing to research in the field. Her published work in reputed journals highlights her scientific and evidence-based approach to mental health care.

Tanveer is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and specializes in working with adult clients dealing with anxiety, depression, and lifestyle-related stress. She also provides diagnostic assessments to support individualized treatment plans. Currently practicing under supervision, Tanveer is committed to delivering high-quality care while continuing to enhance her clinical expertise. She provides culturally sensitive care and often provides therapy for South Asian clients. She is able to provide services in Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu.

Known for her compassionate and client-centered approach, she is dedicated to helping her clients achieve emotional well-being and resilience.
